Footage Shows Tragic Death of SeaWorld Trainer After Being Savagely Killed By Whale

Alexis Martinez was a Spanish animal trainer who worked with orcas at Loro Parque’s Orca Ocean in the Canary Islands. He was killed during a Christmas show rehearsal on December 24, 2009, two months before the death of Dawn Brancheau, perhaps the most famous victim of an orca attack in SeaWorld. Although the park initially called Martinez’s death an accident, the autopsy report stated he died due to fatal injuries from the attack. To make matters worse, two years prior, the park claimed another orca attack was simply an accident.

Alexis Martinez, 29, had worked with orcas for three years at Loro Parque. His partner Estefanía Luis Rodriguez, described the animal lover as “handsome, generous, and funny“. She revealed that Martinez had expressed concerns over his work at Orca Ocean. Just weeks before his death, he was saying the killer whales were becoming disobedient, disruptive, and aggressive. Initially, the park called his death an unfortunate accident and stated his body showed no sign of violence until the autopsy report included ripped organs, a crushed chest, and bite marks. ×

Keto, a 6,600lb male, had never seen the ocean, being born in captivity in 1995 in a SeaWorld park. He’s performed in parks in Ohio, Texas, San Diego, and the Canary Islands. It was during his third year at Loro Parque’s Orca Ocean that the incident took place. Keto was one of four orcas sent from SeaWorld on loan to Loro Parque.

The devil waits at every crossroads: a walk between darkness and light on Dartmoor

The devil waits at every crossroads: a walk between darkness and light on Dartmoor The new 38-mile Archangel’s Way, a pilgrimage route in a rugged corner of Devon, straddles Christendom and ancient pagan sites T he story of the church of St Michael de Rupe begins – as all the best Dartmoor stories do – on a dark and stormy night. A sailor, stricken in a wild and furious sea, fell to the deck of his ship to pray for salvation. The almighty unveiled a mountain in the midst of the tempest where the ship duly made landfall: in gratitude the sailor built a church on its summit. The devil – who had unleashed that evil storm – did his best to prise the church from its foundations, but Archangel Michael sprung to its defence and became the patron of this Devon parish. The tale has many versions, but this is the general gist. Today, St Michael de Rupe counts as the highest working church in southern England – poised dramatically on top of a western outlier of Dartmoor’s tor...

This cop got carried away, and forgot there were cameras recording when he A woman walks into a police station and tells the officer, “I think my husband is having an affair!” The officer asks, “How do you know?” “Well,” she says, “He keeps calling this woman ‘honey’ and ‘sweetheart,’ and he even calls her ‘my love.’” The officer sighs and says, “Ma’am, that’s just how people talk on the phone.” The woman says, “But he doesn’t even know her phone number!” The officer looks confused. “He doesn’t know her number? How does he call her?” The woman rolls her eyes and says, “He calls her from the toilet!” The officer bursts out laughing. “Ma’am, you’re hilarious! What makes you think he’s talking to someone else?” The woman says, “Because he’s always yelling, ‘Hold on a second, I’m going to get a roll of toilet paper!’”

How to Make a DIY Carboard RC Plane (1-10)

How to Make a DIY Carboard RC Plane Hello, fellow makers!👋  I'm excited to share my latest project with you—building a remote-controlled airplane from cardboard.✈️ As an RC enthusiast who loves drones and everything related to remote-controlled vehicles, I always wanted to create my own plane, but I was put off by the high costs and complexity of traditional materials. So, I decided to take a different approach and use readily available and affordable materials like cardboard. However, I was initially hesitant because I wasn't sure if a plane made of cardboard would actually fly. But after doing some research and putting my design skills to the test, I decided to go for it. 🛠️ In this instructable, I'll guide you through the process of building a sturdy and functional RC airplane using a cardboard fuselage and wings, along with a few 3D-printed parts and the electronics. This project was not only fun and educational but also incredibly rewarding. I learned a...
